I took a train from brussels to antwerp to cop fine pieces

don't get it twisted london's got the dime pieces, we stoppin' in amsterdam for top of the line reefer.(*)

although this online reporting of random rubbish could well be labeled as inactive at this time, I do however feel the need to share some intel on fine affordable dining. hit up antwerps sushi palace last sunday and I must say it's incredible how this joint has managed to slip under my radar since it was conceived about a year ago.

big stacks of democratically priced raw fish in a clean and quiet environment.

had some tuna maki, salmon sashimi and tuna/avocado inside out rolls.

32 euro for two persons including drinks might rocket this japanese eatery to a bi-weekly event.

already had some of these treats two weeks earlier when I hit up amsterdam. now I have to say that amsterdams supposedly best sushi spot doesn't have sh*t on one of antwerps cheapest, I'm probably still on a sushi high from sunday though as I remember being pretty stoked about this dish as well.

amsterdam itself didn't hold too much surprises. I love to walk around the city once every two years, and especially now the weather circumstances were pretty idyllic as it was snowing, which provided a pretty cool view walking by the canals.

managed to pick up some gear here and there these last few weeks which I'm pretty happy with. having a personal shopper with a clue is pretty cool.

clae mcqueen (rip), vans chukka fleece, rockwell 'unTITled' collection, lee denim shirt, some book on the history of jeans titled 'from cowboy to catwalk' which kinda had me chuckling at the time I saw it. kinda wondering how to rock a denim shirt without looking like too much of a retard or a geography teacher. khakis might work, but I heard denim on denim is done again, so I might have to go all out and wrap my entire body in this divine fabric.

not pictured are insane amounts of bagels, coffee and muffins (apple cinnamon wot woooot), timberland abington boots and the vans book which I copped at amsterdams american book store.

I gotta get up and go file for unemployment right now.

playlist these last few:
percee p - perseverance
mobb deep - the infamous
liferide - s/t
talib kweli & madlib - liberation
fat joe - elephant in the room
la roux - la roux

(*)offcourse I didn't actually take a train, I did however scoop some reefer at a coffeeshop where I saw two black dudes playing checkers on a board that had mercyful fate, death, deicide, carcass, etc. carved into it. black metal came to mind.
